Philly has never been so happy to see a group of miserable, self-centered, ignorant low-lives return to their TV screens. The beloved cast of the critically acclaimed, Philly-Phavorite show, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has returned for its awaited 5th season, and the show is still as wonderfully despicable and disgusting as ever.

In the season premiere, “The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis”, Frank, played by Danny Devito, buys a new house on foreclosure and decides he will flip it and make a profit. When the gang arrives at the house, they realize that the residents of the house haven’t moved out and have 90 days to do so. Given this information, Mac and Dennis, played by Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton, start their own realty business suitably called “Honey & Vinegar”, a name that describes their good cop/bad cop approach to selling a house.

Meanwhile, Sweet Dee, played by Kaitlin Olson, also feels the sting of the recession and decides to apply for a surrogate position for a couple who wants to have a baby. After realizing that the couple has a great house, she decides to treat herself to their pool without their permission.

As usual, the gang ends up together at the end, waiting to reap the benefits of exploiting others for their personal gain, with a hilarious tone that leaves its loyal fans wondering what disgusting antics the gang will get into next. So, if for some reason you ever find yourself disappointed in something you’ve done, do yourself a favor and watch the gang on the fifth season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia! It’s guaranteed to make you feel better about yourself.
