Partying with Paris

Socialite Paris Hilton has

Socialite Paris Hilton has managed to turn her partying lifestyle into a celebrity career that has included a reality television show, a book, a music album, and film roles. Not bad for the hotel heiress, who first gained notoriety in 2003 when a home sex tape was posted on the Internet. Since then, the tabloids have followed Hilton’s every move: from her three week jail sentence for violating probation in a drunk-driving case in 2007, to late night antics on the Sunset Strip. While Hilton has served as a symbol of privilege in America, she has also built an empire on being herself, and controversy is never too far behind.

That didn’t seem to be the case during a recent trip to the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  â€œI’ve always loved Atlantic City because it’s kind of like the Vegas of the East Coast,” Hilton said.  However, when the topic shifted to her relationship status, Hilton remained coy. Only going as far as to say “Well, I’m just excited to have a fun night tonight!”

Although Hilton’s life appears to be one big party, she insists she does work.  And like most everyday civilians, she claims that it’s a constant struggle to balance her personal and professional lives.  â€œI work every day,” she says.  â€œI’m a brand and a business woman, so I keep my private life and public life separate.”

With a second season of Paris Hilton’s: My new BFF currently airing, Hilton says this time around she is looking for someone sincere. “I just want someone who I can trust, that’s a good friend who wants to be my friend for the right reasons and just someone who has a good heart,” Hilton mentions.

Hilton is also working on another version of My New BFF in Dubai and says she enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures. “I’m just traveling all the time and it’s a lot of fun.  I’m very excited!  I just left Dubai on Monday. I shot BFF out there, so it’s going to be very exciting. It was my first trip out there in the Middle East.”

Whether you perceive Hilton as the ultimate party girl or a world traveling workaholic, you can be sure she’ll continue to rock being JUST PARIS.

And as she puts it, “that’s hot!”

How can you find someone who wants to be your friend “for the right reasons” when you have them come on a tv show and compete with other people.  By the same token, why would I want to be friends with someone who would make me compete with a bunch of other people to be their best friend.  I’m sure they all realize these things, but the truth is its a tv show made to bring in money.  Man, I hate reality tv.
